The patron saints of Galliate are the martyrs Saints Justus and Aurelius, celebrated on 8 September in the traditional Varallino feast, named after the Sanctuary of the Varallino.
The municipal territory holds the Sforza Castle of Galliate, an important Renaissance fortress, and the Church of Santi Pietro e Paolo, as well as the Angelo Bozzola Museum. The town also holds the church of San Defendente.
