The patron of Barbania is San Giuliano di Brioude, celebrated on the last Sunday of August and the following Monday; the village holds the Parrocchia di San Giuliano.
The patronal feast has been held for centuries on the last Sunday of August and the following Monday; on Monday the outgoing prior hands over to his successor. It has its roots in Celtic traditions, as shown above all by the symbols used, including the bindéj (long coloured ribbons), the caritin (breads in the shape of a rooster, sun and moon fixed on the ceremonial weapons) and the Carità (a large loaf adorned with fronds); these symbols can be found in festivals of the same origin, such as the Occitan Bahio and the dances of the spadonari in the Susa valley. The municipality also holds the Chiesa dell'Assunta, the Cappella di San Michele Arcangelo and the Cappella di Sant'Antonio Abate.
