The patron of Valpelline is Saint Pantaleon, celebrated on 27 July in the parish church dedicated to him. North of the building stand the fortified house La Tour de Valpelline, of medieval origin but with a present-day 18th-century appearance, and the Tornalla, marked by a round tower containing a spiral staircase.
In the second half of July, close to the patronal feast, the town holds the sagra of the seupa à la vapelenentse, celebrating the local dish, which was granted the De.C.O. label in 2007. October brings the Féa de Vapeleunna, the traditional livestock fair, while at carnival time the landzette parade: the traditional masks of the Combe Froide, inspired by the uniforms of the Napoleonic troops that passed through the valley.
