The patroness of Uscio is Our Lady of Sorrows, celebrated on the third Sunday of September. Next to the parish church, built between 1893 and 1895 and blessed by Monsignor Fortunato Vinelli, stands the old pieve of Sant'Ambrogio, declared an Italian national monument: it dates in its present Romanesque form from the 11th century, but its origins go back to 570, when the bishop of Milan, fleeing the Lombards, settled in Genoa and promoted the building of the first four Ambrosian pievi of Liguria, at Uscio, Recco, Rapallo and Camogli.
In the hamlet of Calcinara stands instead the church of Nostra Signora di Caravaggio, which began as a private chapel of the Garaventa family, was enlarged in 1876 and became an independent parish in 1936.
