Montefalcone nel Sannio celebrates Saint Anthony of Padua on 13 June, holding an authentic relic of the saint donated by the Basilica of Padua in 1993; co-patron is Saint Nicholas of Bari, while the blessed Giso, a Montefalcone-born abbot, is venerated locally.

The patron saint of Montefalcone nel Sannio is Saint Anthony of Padua, celebrated on 13 June; the co-patron is Saint Nicholas of Bari. In the aedicule that holds the wooden statue of the patron, an insignia relic of his body is kept, donated by the Basilica of Padua on 25 September 1993, and taken from the saint's tomb during the 1981 canonical recognition.

The parish church, dedicated to Pope Saint Sylvester I after the suppression of the nearby convent under Murat's rule, also holds the relic of the blessed abbot Giso, born in Montefalcone and living between the 10th and 11th centuries in the ancient Benedictine monastery of San Pietro, on the border with the territory of Castelmauro. Among the town's popular traditions, the Farchie are still preserved, a very ancient, clearly pagan-origin magical propitiatory rite celebrated on Christmas Eve, marking the «rising sun», the start of the new solar year and the victory of light over darkness.
