The patron of Sepino is Saint Christina, and the town celebrates her twice. On 23 and 24 July it remembers her death — she was persecuted at the beginning of the fourth century — and the same days are a feast in Bolsena, the town twinned with Sepino.
The occasion felt most deeply, though, falls in winter: 8, 9 and 10 January, for the anniversary of the arrival of the saint's relics, in the year 1099.
On 25 July, for more than a hundred years, Sepino has also held the first Emigrant's Feast in all Molise. And on New Year's night the bufù are played, home-made instruments built out of wooden barrels.
