The patron saint of Gavi is Saint James, celebrated on 25 July in the Parish Church of San Giacomo Maggiore.
The municipal territory holds the Forte di Gavi and the Sanctuary of Nostra Signora della Guardia, as well as the Church of Santi Antonio Abate e Fermo Martire. The town also holds the Civic Theatre.
