The patron of Rocca Grimalda is Saint James (San Giacomo), celebrated on 25 July.
The village is known for the «Lachera», an ancestral dance and Carnival rite performed every year during Carnival in its fullest form, with a questing tour of the countryside of five days of uninterrupted dancing and music until it reaches the village; the tradition is promoted by the Museo della Maschera (mask museum). Among the sagre are that of the wild boar, in the last week of July, that of the stracotto (braised beef), on the second Sunday of August, and that of the «peirbuieira», a typical soup with lasagne, beans and garlic, in the last week of August, which has passed 40 editions.
