The patronal feast of Gassino Torinese is celebrated on the Sunday closest to 8 September, the day of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. For the occasion, locals prepare pérsi pien, or stuffed peaches, a local speciality, together with rubatà breadsticks and torcet ëd Gasso pastries.
The town also has another old processional tradition: on Easter day, led by the priors of the Confraternita dello Spirito Santo, the traditional Processione del Cataletto winds through the streets, symbolically representing the carrying of Jesus to the Sepulchre. Until the mid-1960s, in spring, the town also held a cherry festival, tied to a fruit once typical of the area alongside strawberries.
