The patron of Neoneli is Saint Peter, celebrated on 29 June; the municipality holds the church of San Pietro Apostolo.
Every year, in August, the town organises a four-day festival in the locality of S'Angelu. At carnival time the «Ritus calendarum» takes place, with a parade of traditional Sardinian masks; from 2010, in the first days of October, the sagra of fregula and cassola takes place; since 2016 it has become a literary festival under the name «Licanias».
