Province: Palermo · Region: Sicily · Population: 2,998 · Postal code: 90010

Rooted in antiquity as the probable site of ancient Apollonia, Pollina lies roughly 70 kilometres east of Palermo within the Madonie Regional Natural Park. Today, the municipality has a population of 2,998, with more than two-thirds of its residents living in the coastal frazione of Finale.

Beyond its main settlements and seaside localities like Costa Turchina and Rais Gerbi, Pollina is known for its ash groves. Here, local farmers harvest manna, a traditional sap protected as a Slow Food presidium. The territory borders neighbouring Castelbuono, Cefalù, and San Mauro Castelverde.
