The patron saint of Pollein is Saint George, celebrated on 23 April, in the church dedicated to him. From the 12th to the 18th century, Pollein's parish depended on the provostry of Mont-Joux, the famous Great Saint Bernard hospice: its azure and silver colours are the dominant ones in the coat of arms linked to this jurisdiction, which depicts two silver rocky mounts on an azure field, each topped by a column, and a gold star at the top.
In Pollein, the traditional Aosta Valley sports of tsan, fiolet, palet and rebatta are still played: every 25 April the Trofeo delle età di tsan is held, while in October, at the village of Les Crêtes, the Le Bourg en Fête food and wine fair takes place.
