The patroness of Cersosimo is Our Lady of Constantinople (Maria di Costantinopoli), celebrated on 16 May.
The town's food tradition includes sausages, soppressata, cured ham, pecorino, ricotta, cacioricotta and caciocavallo, home-made pasta with frizzuli and raschiatelli, «cruschi» (dried crunchy) peppers, kid roasted in the oven or on the embers, and dried figs with almonds or walnuts; at Christmas the crispelle are prepared and at Carnival the pettole.
