The patron saint of Civezza is Saint Mark the Evangelist, celebrated on 25 April, in the parish church dedicated to him, built between 1777 and 1783 to a design by Tommaso Carrega, still thriving and the seat of the local priest, with the annexed oratory of San Giovanni Battista, the work of Domenico Belmonte, and an imposing bell tower that, thanks to its favourable position, offers 360-degree visibility. Before the current coat of arms was granted, the municipality used an emblem depicting a passant lion of Saint Mark on a golden field with a red background.
The town's bond with its patron saint also lives on in the cultural association «San Marco», which every year holds events, theatrical performances, painting and literary exhibitions, music and lectures, donating the entire proceeds to charity. In Piazza San Marco Evangelista stands the monument to the fallen of the First World War, bearing the names of all the men of Civezza who left for the front.
