The patron saint of Nasino is Saint John the Baptist, celebrated on 24 June. The parish church dedicated to him, from the 16th century, is decorated with fine frescoes and enriched with notable marble structures; its Baroque altars, with the typical "tortiglione" twisted columns embraced by angels, make it unique in the area.
Throughout the 14th century the territory of Nasino was disputed between the two major lordships of Clavesana and Del Carretto of Finale, before being enfeoffed to the Albenga families of Cepolla and then Cepollini; in 1386, under the dogeship of Antoniotto Adorno, the Republic of Genoa recognised the Del Carretto as lords of Nasino and the Cepollini as their vassals. Of the Cepollini castle, in the hamlet of Vignoletto, only the rectangular ruins remain today, with the remains of two side towers and traces of frescoes.
