The patron saint of Cavallermaggiore is Saint George: the Saint George Fair, dedicated to him, is held on the weekend of the week of 23 April, with a few stalls in the main square and a fish dinner open to all on Saturday evening; on Sunday, a market is also held along the main street.
The town also hosts the Gorgonzola Festival, a culinary event presenting the cheese's producers through dinners and stalls. The municipal territory also holds the Sanctuary of the Beata Vergine delle Grazie and the Civic Tower.
