Linguaglossa celebrates Saint Giles the Abbot on 1 September, with folk and cultural events; on 16 August instead the feast of Saint Roch is held, enlivened by traditional games such as the «sack race» and the «scassata dî catusi».

The patron saint of Linguaglossa is Saint Giles the Abbot, celebrated on 1 September in the church dedicated to him: the solemn celebrations are usually preceded and followed by folk and cultural events. On 16 August instead falls the feast of Saint Roch, enlivened during the week by traditional games, such as the «sack race» and the «scassata dî catusi», in which a pole is used to break terracotta jars, hung up high, containing surprises.

Besides the religious feasts, Carnival is celebrated with masked dances in the square, often with masked floats and a final bonfire. Linguaglossa also preserves numerous other historic churches, including those of the Saints Antonio and Vito, San Nicola, the Annunziata, San Francesco di Paola and the mother church of Santa Maria delle Grazie.
