Funghi Fest — Castelbuono: Dates & Info

A late-October weekend built around the mushrooms of the Madonie woods: twice-daily tastings in Piazza Castello, show cooking, guided forest walks and stalls along Via Sant'Anna. The 2025 edition was the nineteenth.

For almost twenty years, the tail end of October in Castelbuono has smelled of porcini. Funghi Fest, which held its nineteenth edition on October 24-26, 2025, celebrates the mushrooms gathered in the Madonie woods with two tasting rounds a day in Piazza Castello, at midday and in the early evening.

Around the mushroom dishes, served with local products and wine, the weekend adds show cooking, taste workshops, guided walks into the woods, stalls along Via Sant'Anna, folk parades and concerts in the historic center.
