The patron saint of Giano dell'Umbria is Saint Felix, celebrated on 30 October, with the abbey dedicated to him: a medieval building, built in the 12th century following the typical canons of Spoleto Romanesque style and enlarged in the 16th century to reach its present appearance.
The municipal territory also preserves traces of its more ancient history at the archaeological museum of Montecchio, which holds finds from both the Roman villa of Rufione and the surrounding area, as well as the Castello di Montecchio and the church of San Michele Arcangelo.
