📅 Every year, on 29 January
On 29 January Perugia celebrates its patron, and you can tell from the bakeries: out comes the torcolo di San Costanzo, a ring cake with pine nuts, aniseed, raisins and candied peel.

The saint of lovers was this city's bishop, and 14 February is the day he died. Terni keeps him as its patron, with the basilica that holds his remains.

On 15 May three wooden pillars crowned with statues of saints are carried at a run through Gubbio. It has happened every year since the twelfth century, and since 1973 those three are the emblem of Umbria.

Assisi's patron is not Francis but Rufinus, celebrated on 12 August. On the last Sunday of the month the three districts compete with crossbows for the palio that carries his name.
